Portable anti-aircraft missile complex “Verba” will be introduced at the forum “Army-2015″ for the first time


Engineering Design Bureau, part of the “Precision complexes” for the first time will present a portable anti-aircraft missile system of a new generation “Verba” at the international military-technical forum “Army-2015″, which will be held June 16-19 in Kubinka.

By the combination of the technical characteristics of “Verba” surpasses all the world analogues. Application of the new portable anti-aircraft missile system in the Russian armed forces to provide cover allows military units to attack air assets, using modern means of fighting air defense systems, massive cruise missile strikes, an effective short-range line of defense of important objects, according to Tass.

Corporations, R&D institutions, higher education establishments, defence industry businesses, military weapons and equipment developers and manufacturers from all over the world will show their latest achievements in hi-tech production.
The Forum is geared towards demonstrating capabilities of scientific organizations, defence industry businesses, weapons and equipment production, innovative technologies, both from Russia and abroad, as well as enable cooperation between leading foreign military goods developers and Russia’s scientific organizations and defence industry businesses.
Within the exhibition program of the forum there will be exposition, demonstration, scientific and business activities.
The exposition of the International Forum is organized through thematic clusters according to the structure of the Armed Forces and the Russian Defence Ministry.
Each military administrative body will be represented by a separate stand which will be surrounded by expositions of enterprises and organizations of its field.
The demonstration program includes presentation of production samples of the enterprises of Military Industrial Complex and the Russian Defence Ministry. 120 pieces of military equipment of Land Force, Air Space Defence, Airborne troops and Navy will show their ride characteristics and firing capabilities within Army, Aviation and Maritime cluster.
Science and business program of the International military and technical forum “Army-2015” includes holding research and practice conferences, seminars, plenary meetings, round tables and presentations of new technologies and samples of armament, military and special equipment. There will also be discussed topical issues of armament and military equipment development as well as creation of scientific and technical starting in the field of innovations.

MOSCOW, April 30. /TASS/. The new Armata tanks and the Kurganets-25 infantry fighting vehicles for the first time rolled through Moscow’s Red Square in a night rehearsal of Victory Day parade, a TASS correspondent has reported.

The newest weaponry is part of a convoy that is due to participate in the traditional parade on May 9. This year’s parade marks the 70th anniversary of Victory over Nazi Germany.

Besides the Armata and the Kurganets, the Coalitsiya-SV self-propelled artillery weapons and also the Boomerang armored fighting vehicles took part in the rehearsal on Red Square.

A road-mobile Topol-M missile complex tore up the streets of Moscow Monday night, completing a 100-kilometer journey from the town of Serpukhov, south of Moscow, before arriving in the capital.

Bystanders and media managed to get a first-hand glimpse of the mobile strategic missile system, which was headed to the All-Russian Exhibition Center in northern Moscow. The vehicle is set to take part in an outdoor public exhibition of Soviet and Russian weaponry in honor of the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Organizers of the exhibition are planning to place the vehicle alongside the Soviet space shuttle, the Buran. In addition to the Topol-M, the exhibition will include the Buk, Tor and OSA-AKM surface-to-air missile systems, as well as the Shilka and Tunguska self-propelled anti-aircraft gun systems, an Su-27 fighter and an Mi8T helicopter, among others.


The missile complex left its base at a section of the Peter the Great Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces on Monday evening.

Commenting on the planned exhibition, the Ministry of Defense told Russian media that it would “immortalize the memory of the creators of the nuclear deterrent, symbolizing the contribution of the Strategic Missile Forces to the defense and security of the country, and paying tribute to the selfless work of generations of missile workers.”

According to Russian media, Russian President Vladimir Putin personally approved the order that the missile system be put on display at the exhibition center.

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Defense ministers of 15 countries will take part in a security conference in Moscow in April, a senior Russian Defense Ministry official said on Friday.

“As of today, we have received confirmation that 15 defense ministers representing the key regions of the world will attend our conference,” said Sergey Koshelev, the head of the ministry’s international military cooperation department.

Defense ministers and delegations of some 80 countries, including NATO member states, have been invited to attend the fourth Moscow security conference set for April 16-17.

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said earlier that Ukraine had not been invited to avoid tensions at the conference.

Russia’s Yars ICBM Systems to Take Part in Victory Day Parade

This year’s Victory Day Parade on Moscow’s Red Square will be the first to feature Russia’s Yars intercontinental ballistic missile systems.


Russia’s Yars intercontinental ballistic missile systems will take part in the Victory Day Parade on Moscow’s Red Square for the first time on May 9, 2015, Russian media reported.”On February 25, a mechanized column consisting of three Yars intercontinental ballistic missile systems left their permanent base in the town of Teykovo in Ivanovo Region and is now on its way to the village of Alabino in Moscow region. The Yars mobile systems will cover more than 400 kilometers of the route, including federal highways with high traffic intensity,” Russian  Strategic Missile Forces spokesman Igor Yegorov said.

Teykovo’s Strategic Missile Forces unit has been taking part in Victory Day parades in Moscow since 2008.

Earlier, the event featured Topol and Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile systems.

The RS-24 Yars is a solid fuel-based thermonuclear intercontinental ballistic missile equipped with a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle. It was first tested on May 29, 2007.

The 2015 Moscow Victory Day Parade is due to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the capitulation of Nazi Germany in 1945, which formally ended hostilities in the Second World War in Europe.
