Syrian Army Wins Back Several Key Hills Northwest of Ancient Palmyra

    Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country’s fighter jets, stormed ISIL’s defense lines in energy-rich regions in Eastern Homs, taking control over more key hills.

The army soldiers continued to attack ISIL’s defense lines Northwest of Palmyra (Tadmur) and managed to drive terrorists out of several strategic hills near Jahar gas station.

The ISIL suffered heavy casualties and pulled the remaining pockets of its forces back from the battlefield and moved toward al-Abar (wells) region, leaving behind a large volume of arms and ammunition.

In the meantime, Syrian and Russian warplanes bombed heavily ISIL’s positions in the regions of al-Sawameh, al-Sukhnah and a gas field in Tadmur Desert, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

In relevant developments in the province on Sunday, the army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL and managed to take control over several hills overlooking West of Hayan factory in Hayan gas field.

The army men also targeted ISIL’s gatherings and positions near al-Maher oilfield near the city of Palmyra, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.
