The warplanes hit heavily ISIL’s movements and gatherings in Deir Ezzur’s cemetery, al-Ma’amel (factories) region and al-Makbat region in the Southern outskirts of the city, near al-Ta’amin brigade and Jonayd Division in the Southwestern outskirts of the city and the neighborhoods of Jadideh al-Akiat and Khashm in the city, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists.
The fighter jets also pounded ISIL’s defense lines in the neighborhoods of al-Roshdiyeh in Deir Ezzur and the village of al-Baqaliyeh in the Western outskirts of the city, leaving a number of militants dead.
The Syrian aircraft targeted a convoy of ISIL on a road connecting the ancient city Palmyra (Tadmur) in Homs to al-Shoula, destroying seven military vehicles.
Also, the Syrian army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL terrorists in the Southern and Southwestern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city on Tuesday, advancing against militants near a road that connects the city to a key military airport.
The army men continued their large-scale operation to take back lost lands to ISIL in the al-Maqaber (cemetery), Jonayd division region and the hills that overlook the city’s road to the airbase.
The army soldiers meantime purged Khanzir hill in the Western outskirt of Deir Ezzur city of terrorists, killing a large number of ISIL militants.
The army troops also managed to advance against militants along the hills near al-Maqaber region to the West of Deir Ezzur airbase and seized control over several positions towards al-Omal region along the road to the military airport.
Meanwhile, Syrian and Russian fighter jets launched massive airstrikes on the movements, gatherings and convoy of ISIL in al-Thardah mountain South of Deir Ezzur and al-Tayem square in Southern outskirt of the city, killing at least 18 militants.
The Syrian warplanes also targeted ISIL’s positions in the town of al-Muhassan North of Deir Ezzur city and destroyed a command post of the terrorist near Bu Saeed grand mosque, leaving 12 terrorists dead.
