Reconciliation of opposing sides

Within last 24 hours, 2 truce agreements have been signed with representatives of Btambul and Skanyu inhabited areas (province of Latakia).

The total number of inhabited areas, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements – 1093.

Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of illegal armed groups in the Damascus province, and detachments of armed opposition in the Homs, Hama, Aleppo, and al-Quneitra provinces

Ceasefire observation

In accordance to the Joint Agreement on complex settling the Syrian conflict, ceasefire regime has been established starting from 00:00 on December 30, 2016.

The Falaq al-Sham, Jabhat Ahli al-Sham (Jaysh al-Mujahideen, Thuwar al-Sham), Firqa Sultan Murad, Jaysh Idlib, Suqour al-Sham, Falaq Rahman, Jabhat al-Shamiyah, Tadjamua Fastakin, Jaysh al-Izaa, Jaysh al-Nasr, al-Forqat al-Ula as-Sahili (1st coastal division), Jaysh al-Islam, and Liwa Shuhada al-Islam have joined the regime.

This work resulted in reduction of violations of the ceasefire regime and strengthening of mutual trust of the opposing sides.

Within last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 10 cases in the provinces of Hama (5), Latakia (2), Damascus (2), Aleppo (1).

The Turkish party has registered 14 violations in the provinces of Idlib (1), Aleppo (4), Damascus (7), Daraa (2).

All ceasefire violations are being investigated. All efforts to prevent such violations are being taken.

Humanitarian aid to the Syrian population

Within last 24 hours, two humanitarian events have been held, in course of which citizens have received humanitarian aid:

in the Benezid area of the Aleppo city – 1.8 tons;

in the Sahur 3 area of the Aleppo city – about 1.8 tons.

Posts with hot meal and items of first necessity for citizens of the Aleppo city continue their work.
