Russian Center: Syria Reconciliation Plan Joined by Over 1,055 Regions

     The Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria announced that many more towns and regions have joined Syria’s Reconciliation Plan over the past 24 hours, pushing the overall number of those towns and regions that have endorsed the peace agreement to exceed 1,055.

The Russian Peace Coordination Center in Syria announced on Thursday that militants in four more regions of Lattakia and Tartus provinces have laid down arms and signed peace agreement with Damascus, increasing the number of regions joining the peace plan to 1055.

Meantime, sources said that negotiations still continue with the field commanders of terrorist groups in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama and Quneitra to persuade them to join the peace plan.

The Russian center had announced on Wednesday that representatives of militants in more regions inked peace agreement with Damascus.

Also, on Monday, the Center announced that militants in two more regions laid down arms and joined the peace agreement with Damascus.

“Representatives of militants in two more regions in Lattakia province inked peace agreement with the Syrian government,” the Russian Center said in a statement.
