Final planning conference on the Indra Navy, Russian-Indian exercise, was held in India

 

Final planning conference on the Indra Navy, Russian-Indian exercise, was held at the Eastern Fleet staff base of the Indian Navy in Visakhapatnam.

The exercise is held on December 14-21, 2016. The exercise is divided into two stages: coastal and naval.

The coastal stage is held on December 14-18 in Visakhapatnam. Naval stage of the exercise starts on December 19 in the water zone of the Bay of Bengal. The exercise participants will practice repelling air attacks of the simulated enemy and ship maneuvering at nighttime as well as conduct artillery firing against air and naval targets.

The Indian party will head the international exercise.
